New skills in identification and recording are critical for helping protect our wild places. We can only protect what we love and we can only love what we know. Seeking knowledge is one way we can protect the UK’s wildlife.

Record

Recording of data is one of the most powerful things we can do for nature. The collection of data over time gives us an overview of how species are reacting to management and climate change.

Data is no use unless it’s in the right hands. The data we collect is transferred to land owners, and local and national organisations, such as Natural England, who can use the data to adjust management regimes.
